Seedling Planting / Farmer Assistance
Saturday, April 20 & Saturday, April 27 - 9 am - ?
740 Balcony Hills Road

Dedicated tree farmer Jerry McNulty needs our help!
This spring he ordered 1,700 seedlings and then took ill.
His farm is atop Balcony Hill in Aberdeen, OH, high above the Ohio River overlooking Maysville.  We’ll be planting small bare rooted seedlings— No heavy lifting required!

***Boots and gloves are recommended. Tools, lunch, and drinks will be provided. ***

Working with private landowners produces our most successful plantings. And donations from grateful farmers help fund activities like the Free Tree Program!

The Jerry McNulty Planting in Aberdeen Saturday 4/27 is DONE and CANCELLED.

The crew working last Saturday made excellent progress, and Mr. McNulty and friends were able to finish Tues. morning.

If you’re still looking for some forestry and fresh-air this Saturday (4/27), we will be planting Baldcypress at the OVFF’s property and have a planters picnic.

Meet at the cabin Saturday AM, hike down to the OVFF noonish. Hot dogs provided. Feel free to bring something to share.
