Join us for willow live staking and tree planting along the Mill Creek in Sharonville, Evendale, and Reading. Gather at 11 a.m., Saturday March 30th, at the shelter house at Twin Creek Preserve, 12033 Best Place (45241), next to Berke soccer complex. Weather permitting, we will paddle, plant, and post live stakes along the banks of the creek until 4 pm. Current plan is to "take-out" canoes at Koenig Park in Reading.
Come wearing waders, boots, or sturdy shoes that you don't mind getting wet and muddy. No open toed shoes allowed. Some canoe dragging over low head dams and boulders will be necessary.
Rain date is 11 am Saturday, April 6, same location/details.

OVFF is teaming up with Great Parks and Taking Root for the 2019 School Tree bagging/giveaway. Join us to bag and box tree seedlings to give to elementary school students in Hamilton County and inspire the next generation to plant trees! Pizza will be provided.

We’ll be planting and sheltering 100 of the same, small bare rooted seedlings we give away.
No heavy lifting required. Boots, gloves and a water bottle are recommended, tools will be provided.

Reforest Northern Kentucky

Reforest Northern Kentucky is an annual, all-volunteer project organized by the Council to restore native Kentucky woodlands. The reforestation project is responsible for planting thousands of tree seedlings on public, protected previously mowed properties in Boone, Kenton and Campbell Counties.

Working with private landowners produces our most successful plantings. And donations from grateful farmers help fund activities like the Free Tree Program!
The Jerry McNulty Planting in Aberdeen Saturday 4/27 is DONE and CANCELLED.
The crew working last Saturday made excellent progress, and Mr. McNulty and friends were able to finish Tues. morning.
If you’re still looking for some forestry and fresh-air this Saturday (4/27), we will be planting Baldcypress at the OVFF’s property and have a planters picnic.
Meet at the cabin Saturday AM, hike down to the OVFF noonish. Hot dogs provided. Feel free to bring something to share.
